Animal Portraits and Wildlife Paintings

Welcome! I am a fine artist and photographer creating original works inspired by animals, nature, and the world around me, My work includes original paintings and photography, as well as commissioned portraits of animals that people love and cherish.

For commissioned portraits, I work primarily in pastel and oil. I have been painting for many years and love the effect that Pastels and Oil paintings create.  Pastels have a soft texture, which people have observed makes the paintings appear almost "pet able".

My original paintings are inspired by the beauty and the uniqueness every animal possesses. Many of my clients have given a portrait or painting as a birthday gift, a holiday present, or even as a way to remember a cherished companion.

The process of having a commissioned painting done, is completed in a few steps. When possible, I come to your location and photograph the animal. When that isn't possible, I can usually work from a photo provided by the client. I work with the client to decide on an image that will be used as the model for the final art.

You should allow 2 to 4 months for completion of a painting. Pricing is based on size and complexity.  A 50% deposit is required to begin a commissioned piece, with the balance due upon completion.

Artwork is also available in a custom fine art print in a variety of sizes and presentations, including framed prints, stretched canvas, metal, acrylic and fine art paper. Prints may be ordered directly through Pictorem.com, where you can easily select the artwork, size and presentation of your choice.

I look forward to creating an original pastel or oil painting that will bring you enjoyment for many years to come.

Please feel free to call for a no obligation consultation.
